Leslie was baptised on 13th November 1898 at Ryde, on the Isle of White. His parents were Arthur John & Margaret Amelia Kinshott. This family originated in East Meon, Hampshire.

 

Leslie was killed in action during heavy fighting at Arras, on the Western Front, on the 28th March 1918. He was 19 years old. His body was not recovered from the mud and remains there now. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

 

Leslie was entitled to the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

 

Leslie was my 7th cousin once removed.
